CD-R schijfjes MAXELL 624036 — 700 MB, 52x, 50-pack

MAXELL 624036 blank CD-R discs provide 700 MB of storage per disc with a maximum write speed of 52x. Supplied as a pack of 50 shrink-wrapped single-sided discs, these CD-Rs are designed for one-time recording and are compatible with standard CD burners and most CD/DVD players and computer drives. Each disc holds up to 80 minutes of uncompressed audio or approximately 700 MB of data, making them suitable for short-term backups, audio projects and small multimedia archiving.

Advantages

These Maxell CD-Rs offer a predictable, write-once medium that keeps recorded content unchanged after burning. The 52x speed supports quick session completion on compatible burners, while the single-sided 120 mm format and 80-minute capacity match common consumer and professional uses. Packaged in a 50-unit shrink wrap, the discs provide convenience for bulk tasks and straightforward storage management.

Suitable for

• Recording audio albums up to 80 minutes
• Backing up documents and small data sets (up to 700 MB per disc)
• Archiving individual projects, photos or presentations
• Creating playable CDs for standard CD players and consoles
• Distributing finished files where write-once media is preferred

When it may not be suitable

These CD-R discs are write-once media and cannot be erased or rewritten, so they are not appropriate when frequent updates or iterative editing of stored files are required. They also have limited capacity compared with modern flash drives, external hard drives or recordable DVDs, so they may be unsuitable for large data sets or long-duration video projects.

Key specifications

• Disc type: CD-R (write once)
• Storage capacity: 700 MB (approximately 80 minutes audio)
• Maximum write speed: 52x
• Disc diameter: 120 mm, single-sided
• Pack quantity: 50 discs, shrink-wrapped

How to use

Insert a blank MAXELL CD-R into a compatible CD burner. Use disc-burning software on your computer or device to select the appropriate burn speed (up to 52x) and file format (audio CD, data disc, or mixed mode). Verify available capacity before starting the burn session to avoid incomplete writes. After burning, allow the disc to finalize if prompted by the software; finalized discs have better compatibility with standalone players. Store discs in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to maintain readability.

What to consider before purchase

• Need for a write-once medium versus rewritable options
• Required storage capacity per disc (700 MB limit)
• Compatibility with your CD burner and playback devices
• Whether a larger-capacity or rewritable format better suits long-term archiving

Recommendations

For reliable results, choose a burn speed appropriate to your burner and media — using a moderate speed often improves burn quality. Label discs after burning with a soft-tip felt pen designed for CD surfaces and store them vertically in cases or sleeves to reduce scratches and exposure to heat or sunlight.
