The CHERRY G84-4400 Universal USB AZERTY French Grey is a full-size wired keyboard with 84 keys arranged in an AZERTY layout for French-language typing. Featuring a 1.75 m USB cable and a slim grey housing, this keyboard is designed for straightforward, reliable input in office, home and public-use environments. Its construction focuses on durable everyday performance and a standard key set suitable for general productivity tasks.

Advantages

The wired USB connection provides a stable plug-and-play experience without the need for batteries or pairing. The full-size form factor delivers a familiar typing area and standard key spacing, reducing the learning curve for regular users. The AZERTY layout and French labelling make the keyboard appropriate for French-speaking users or environments where AZERTY is required, while the neutral grey colour integrates with most workspaces. The 84-key design balances compactness and functionality.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This keyboard may not be suitable for users who require wireless connectivity or a Bluetooth option, since it uses a wired USB interface. It also does not include an integrated pointing device or numeric keypad variations beyond the standard 84-key layout, so users expecting an ergonomic split design, programmable macro keys, or dedicated multimedia controls may find it limited.

How to use

Connect the keyboard to a free USB port on a computer using the attached 1.75 m cable. The keyboard is designed for plug-and-play operation on most modern operating systems; no additional drivers are usually required. Position the keyboard on a flat surface at a comfortable typing height and angle. Use standard cleaning methods to maintain keycap legibility and housing finish, disconnecting the cable before cleaning.

Recommendations

For stable long-term use, route the cable to avoid strain and keep the keyboard on a clean, level surface. If you switch between multiple layouts or languages, label frequently used keys or use operating system settings to match the keyboard layout to your system locale.
