Actieve adapter DisplayPort 1.4 naar HDMI 2.0b CLUB3D CAC-1080

The CAC-1080 is a Club3D DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI 2.0b signal converter designed to connect a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display. It supports HDR video playback and handles DisplayPort input bandwidth of up to 5.4 Gbps per lane (4 lanes). The HDMI output fully complies with HDMI 2.0b and enables UHD resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz when supported by connected devices.

Advantages

The converter supports HDR and deep color media playback, offers conversion between RGB and YCbCr formats, and allows pixel encoding conversion from 4:4:4 to 4:2:0 to accommodate HDMI bandwidth limitations. It provides reliable signal conversion while preserving high-resolution and high-color-depth capabilities where link bandwidth and connected devices permit.

Key specifications

• Input: DisplayPort 1.4 (supports up to 5.4 Gbps per lane, 4 lanes)
• Output: HDMI 2.0b (fully compliant)
• Maximum resolution: up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz
• Color formats: RGB and YCbCr (supports up to 16 bpc / 48 bpp when bandwidth allows)
• Pixel encoding conversion: RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4 to YCbCr 4:2:0 and 4:2:0 pass-through
• HDR support: HDR with deep color up to 12 bpc at 4K 60Hz via conversion to YCbCr 4:2:0 on HDMI output

How to use

Connect the CAC-1080 to a DisplayPort 1.4 source using a certified DisplayPort cable and connect the HDMI output to the display using an HDMI cable. Ensure both source and display support the required formats: the source must support DisplayPort 1.4 and the display must support HDMI 2.0 (a or b) and HDR for HDR passthrough. Configure the source video output settings to the desired resolution and color format; the converter will perform necessary pixel encoding conversion where required.

Recommendations

For HDR and 12 bpc color depth at 4K 60Hz, verify that the source device supports DisplayPort 1.4 and that the display supports HDR and HDMI 2.0a/b. Use high-quality certified DisplayPort and HDMI cables to ensure stable transmission.
