USB 3.1 Type-C naar USB 3.0-adapter CLUB3D CAA-1521

The Club 3D USB 3.1 Type C to USB 3.0 Type A Adapter allows connection of existing USB peripherals, storage devices and docking stations with a Type A male plug to laptops, tablets and ultrabooks equipped with a USB 3.1 Type C port. The adapter is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and implements the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed specification for up to 5 Gbps data transfer.

Advantages

The adapter provides reliable wired connectivity between modern USB-C hosts and legacy USB-A devices without requiring additional drivers. Its USB 3.0 SuperSpeed support enables fast transfer of large files, while USB 2.0 compatibility preserves functionality with older peripherals. It supports major operating systems including Windows, Apple OS X and Chrome OS.

Key specifications

• Type: USB 3.1 Type C (male) to USB 3.0 Type A (female) adapter
• Data transfer rate: up to 5 Gbps (USB 3.0 SuperSpeed)
• Backward compatibility: USB 2.0
• Compatible operating systems: Windows, Apple OS X, Chrome OS

How to use

Insert the USB-C male connector into the USB 3.1 Type C port on the laptop, tablet or ultrabook. Plug the USB-A device or cable into the adapter's USB 3.0 Type A female port. The adapter is plug-and-play with supported operating systems; no additional drivers are normally required. For optimal transfer speeds, connect USB 3.0 devices and use cables rated for SuperSpeed.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with devices and cables that support USB 3.0 to achieve the advertised 5 Gbps speed; when connected to USB 2.0 peripherals the transfer rate will be limited by the older standard.
