Coaxkabel ShiverPeaks 81800-1-500SP, SAT-kabel op spoel, 4-voudige aluminium afscherming

ShiverPeaks SAT coaxial cable model 81800-1-500SP is supplied on a spool and features four-fold aluminum shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain reliable satellite signal transmission. Built for installations where consistent RF performance is required, this cable supports digital SAT applications and long runs while allowing indoor and outdoor routing when protected from extreme conditions.

Advantages

The four-fold aluminum shielding provides high attenuation of external noise and minimizes crosstalk, improving signal stability for satellite TV and related RF equipment. Supplied on a 500 m spool, the cable allows continuous runs without frequent joins, reducing potential signal loss points. The cable construction balances mechanical flexibility with robust shielding, making it practical for structured cabling and installation in conduits or on cable trays.

Suitable for

• Satellite TV and digital SAT installations
• Long coaxial runs for residential and commercial buildings
• Indoor routing in walls, attics, and equipment rooms
• Outdoor routing when installed with appropriate weatherproofing and conduit
• Multi-dwelling unit distribution and shared antenna systems

Key specifications

• Cable type: SAT coaxial cable on spool
• Shielding: four-fold aluminum shielding for enhanced EMI protection
• Length per spool: 500 m
• Impedance: nominal coaxial impedance suitable for satellite RF systems
• Attenuation performance: designed for low signal loss over extended runs
• Construction: flexible jacket with internal conductor and multilayer shield

How to use

Unwind the required length from the spool and route the cable following local installation rules and building codes. Strip the outer jacket and shielding carefully to expose the dielectric and central conductor without nicking the conductor. Terminate with compatible SAT F-type or SAT-specific connectors and ensure shield continuity is maintained at connection points. When routing outdoors or in exposed locations, place the cable in conduit or use weatherproof junctions to protect against moisture and UV exposure.

Recommendations

For optimal signal performance, avoid sharp bends and tight coils; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius. Use high-quality, properly crimped or compression connectors compatible with SAT coaxial systems, and test signal levels after installation to confirm correct attenuation and continuity. For outdoor deployments, combine the cable with suitable sealing methods and surge protection where lightning risk is present.
