Dell Thunderbolt naar HDMI/DisplayPort adapterkabel (1XXX9)

Modern ultrabooks and tablets often ship with only Thunderbolt or USB-C ports, leaving you stranded when you need to connect to a projector, monitor, or TV. This Dell adapter cable solves that problem by converting a single Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) port into either an HDMI or DisplayPort output, so you can mirror or extend your screen to virtually any display. No drivers, no external power, no clutter—just plug it in and present.

Who is it for

Business professionals who travel between meeting rooms with different display types, educators presenting from a laptop to a classroom projector, and home users who want to connect a modern laptop to an older monitor or TV. It is also ideal for anyone with a Thunderbolt dock that lacks the right video output, or for IT departments standardising on Dell accessories for their fleet.

Main features

• Dual video outputs: choose between HDMI and DisplayPort depending on the display you encounter.
• Supports up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz on both outputs for crisp, smooth video.
• HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 compliance ensures compatibility with a wide range of monitors, TVs, and projectors.
• Bus-powered design—no external power adapter needed; it draws power directly from your device.
• Plug and play: no drivers or software installation required on Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS.
• Compact and lightweight with a short integrated cable (approx. 10–15 cm), perfect for a laptop bag.
• Audio pass-through via HDMI or DisplayPort when your display supports it.

Tips

To ensure 4K 60 Hz output, verify that your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and that your HDMI cable is rated for HDMI 2.0 or higher. For older displays with only DVI or VGA inputs, use an additional active adapter (not included). Keep the adapter's firmware updated if Dell releases updates, though it is typically driver-free.
