DeLOCK 83176 USB-kabel USB 3.2 Gen 1 0,3 m USB A naar 2 x USB A

The DeLOCK 83176 USB cable is a 0.3 m USB 3.2 Gen 1 cable that connects one USB A male to two USB A female connectors. It is intended to provide data connectivity and, when available, additional power to connected USB devices such as external HDD enclosures. The cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1) with a maximum data transfer rate of 5 Gbit/s and is designed for compact setups where space is limited.

Advantages

This USB cable combines a single USB A male plug with two USB A female sockets, enabling connection of multiple USB devices or providing supplementary power from an additional host port. With support for USB 3.2 Gen 1, it allows high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbit/s. Its short 0.3 m length reduces cable clutter and is suitable for use near laptops or PC housings where space is restricted.

Suitable for

• Connecting external 2.5" HDD enclosures to a notebook or PC
• Providing additional power to USB devices by using a second host USB port
• Situations with limited space where a short cable is needed

How to use

Plug the USB A male connector into a USB port on your notebook or PC. Connect your USB device or an external HDD enclosure to one of the USB A female connectors. If a connected 3.5" HDD requires more power than a single port provides, connect the second USB A female connector to another active USB port on the host (USB 3.0 or USB 2.0) to supply additional power. Ensure both host ports are powered and active before operating power-hungry drives.

Recommendations

For operation of a 3.5" HDD without an independent external power supply, connect the HDD to an active USB 3.0 port and an additional USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port on the host to provide the required power. Do not assume the cable supplies full mains-level power; use a dedicated power adapter for drives that explicitly require external power.
