DELOCK glasvezeladapter HFBR 4515Z simplex kunststof koppeling blauw (bu > bu)

DELOCK Fiber Optic Adapter HFBR 4515Z Simplex Plastic Coupler Blue (Bu > Bu) is a compact inline plastic coupler designed to connect two HFBR 4515Z-style simplex fiber terminations. Color-coded blue for easy identification and matching, this adapter enables a straight-through connection between two simplex HFBR connectors and can be mounted as a panel feed-through or used as a short splice to extend single-fiber links in networking, industrial controls or low-power optical data connections.

Advantages

The plastic construction provides a lightweight and cost-effective coupling solution for HFBR 4515Z simplex terminations while retaining alignment for reliable optical contact. The blue color coding simplifies matching of connectors and reduces installation errors. Its compact form factor supports use in confined spaces and allows installation as a panel-mounted feed-through or an inline extension for single-fiber runs.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This plastic simplex coupler is intended for HFBR 4515Z-style terminations and short-range, low-power links. It is not designed for harsh outdoor environments, heavy mechanical stress, or applications that require high-density metal or armored couplers. For multimode/multifiber trunks, high-power laser transmission, or connections requiring environmental sealing, a different adapter type would be more appropriate.

Key specifications

How to use

Align each HFBR 4515Z-style simplex connector with the corresponding female port of the coupler and push until a secure seated connection is achieved. When used as a panel feed-through, install the coupler into the prepared panel opening and secure according to the panel design before mating the connectors. Avoid excessive bending of the fiber near the connector and ensure connector endfaces are clean and free of debris prior to coupling to maintain optimal signal performance.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before each mating and avoid sharp bends or tensile stress on the fiber near the coupler. Use this adapter for straightforward single-fiber connections and panel feed-throughs in controlled indoor environments.
