DeLOCK USB-kabel USB 3.2 Gen 2 5m USB-C zwart 84255

This USB cable by Delock enables the connection between a device with a USB Type-C™ connector and a PC or laptop equipped with a free USB Type-C™ port. The active optical construction makes the cable thinner, lighter and suitable for longer-distance transmission without signal loss. It supports DisplayPort 2.1 (4 lanes) for high-resolution video, USB data transfer up to 10 Gbps and USB Power Delivery up to 60 W.

Advantages

The active optical design reduces weight and thickness compared with traditional copper cables while allowing longer reach without degradation of high-speed signals. The cable supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode with DisplayPort 2.1 (4 lanes) for up to 8K@60 Hz when used with compatible USB-C monitors and hosts. USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) data transfer is supported for compatible devices, and USB Power Delivery enables device charging up to 60 W (20 V / 3 A). Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 is maintained.

Suitable for

• Connecting a USB-C monitor to a computer with DisplayPort Alternate Mode
• High-speed data transfer between USB-C devices (up to 10 Gbps)
• Powering and charging devices via USB Power Delivery up to 60 W
• Long-distance USB-C connections where a lightweight, flexible cable is required

• Cable length: 5 m
• Color: Black
• Video: DisplayPort 2.1, 4 lanes — up to 8K (7680 x 4320 @ 60 Hz) via DP Alt Mode (depends on host and monitor support)
• Power Delivery: up to 60 W (20 V / 3 A)
• Note: Compatible only with DisplayPort (DP Alt Mode) devices; not compatible with Thunderbolt™ devices

How to use

Connect one USB-C end of the cable to a host device (PC, laptop or docking station) that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and USB 3.2 Gen 2 as required. Connect the other USB-C end to a compatible monitor, peripheral or device. For video output at the maximum supported resolution, ensure both the host and the monitor support DisplayPort 2.1 (4 lanes) over USB-C. For USB data transfers and charging, ensure connected devices support the corresponding USB and Power Delivery standards.

Recommendations

Use the cable with devices that explicitly support DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C; do not expect Thunderbolt™ compatibility. When using a docking station that shares bandwidth between DisplayPort and USB, achievable resolutions and refresh rates may be lower (for example 3840 x 2160 @ 120 Hz with simultaneous USB at 10 Gbps).
