Verrekijker Deltaoptical Chase 8x42 ED – 8x vergroting, 42 mm objectief, ED-glas

Deltaoptical Chase 8x42 ED binoculars deliver 8× magnification combined with 42 mm objective lenses and extra-low dispersion (ED) glass to improve image sharpness and reduce chromatic aberration. Designed for general outdoor observation, these binoculars balance light gathering and portability to support daytime use and many low-light situations such as dawn and dusk. The Deltaoptical Chase 8x42 ED is intended for users who need clear, contrasted views of birds, landscapes and distant subjects while maintaining a compact, hand-held form factor.

Advantages

The use of ED glass provides better color fidelity and reduced fringing at high-contrast edges, improving perceived sharpness across the field of view. With an 8× magnification, the Chase 8x42 ED offers a stable viewing experience with less sensitivity to hand shake than higher-power models. The 42 mm objective size provides a good compromise between light transmission for twilight observation and overall size and weight for comfortable carry. Optical coatings and the optical design support good contrast and transmission for natural-colour rendering.

Suitable for

• Birdwatching and wildlife observation
• Hiking and general outdoor recreation
• Landscape and travel observation
• Sporting events and outdoor surveillance

Key specifications

• Magnification: 8×
• Objective lens diameter: 42 mm
• ED (extra-low dispersion) glass elements for reduced chromatic aberration
• Optical coatings for improved light transmission and contrast
• Roof prism design for compact binocular body
• Field of view and close focus: designed for general observation (manufacturer specifications vary)

How to use

Hold the binoculars with both hands and use the central focusing wheel to bring the subject into sharp focus. For users with differing vision between eyes, adjust the diopter (usually located on one eyepiece) to achieve equal sharpness in both eyes. Use the built-in eyecups or fold-down eyecups to set a comfortable eye relief, especially important when wearing glasses. For steady observation at higher magnifications or for prolonged sessions, use a tripod adapter if supported or rest elbows on a stable surface to reduce hand shake.

Recommendations

Store the binoculars in a protective case when not in use, keep lenses clean using a soft brush and lens cloth, and avoid exposing the optics to prolonged direct sunlight or salt spray. For best results at dawn or dusk, allow your eyes to adapt to low light and ensure lens coatings remain clean to maximize light transmission.
