Dexlan netwerkkabel 858740 zwart 5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The Dexlan networking cable 858740 Black 5 m Cat6a S/FTP is a 5-metre shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed wired networks. It uses Cat6a specification and S/FTP shielding to support stable data transmission and reduce electromagnetic and crosstalk interference. Both ends are fitted with standard RJ-45 plugs for plug-and-play connection to switches, routers, network cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The black jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for visible or concealed installations.

Advantages

Cat6a performance combined with S/FTP shielding delivers reliable throughput for gigabit and 10-gigabit network segments over short to medium runs. The cable's construction reduces near-end crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure broad compatibility with consumer and professional networking hardware, while the 5 m length offers flexibility for desk-to-wall or rack-to-equipment connections.

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of heat sources; maintain the minimum bend radius appropriate for copper Ethernet cable to preserve signal quality. For permanent installations, secure the cable with cable ties or clips without compressing the jacket or shielding.

Recommendations

Use the Dexlan Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium distance runs where higher bandwidth and reduced interference are required. Avoid running alongside unshielded power cables for extended lengths; where multiple cables are bundled, consider additional separation or conduit. For 10 Gbit/s operation, verify that connected network equipment and patch panels support the required category and termination standards.
