Netwerkkabel Dexlan 858642 Cat7 S/FTP wit 1,5 m

The Dexlan 858642 Cat7 S/FTP networking cable in white is a 1.5 m Ethernet cable designed to meet Category 7 specifications for high-speed data transmission. Constructed with individually shielded pairs and an overall foil shield (S/FTP), this cable reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference while providing reliable connections through RJ-45 connectors on both ends. Its length and flexibility make it suitable for connecting network devices in home and office environments where a short, high-performance link is required.

Advantages

S/FTP construction delivers improved protection against near-end crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded or partially shielded cables, helping to maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. The Cat7 specification supports higher bandwidths and transmission rates than earlier categories, making it appropriate for demanding applications. The 1.5 m length provides a compact, tidy connection between switches, routers, patch panels and end devices without excessive slack. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common network equipment.

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the Ethernet port of the devices you want to link, such as a router, switch, or computer. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure connection. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For installations in areas with potential electromagnetic interference, orient the cable away from high-voltage power lines and noisy electrical equipment where practical.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat7 S/FTP cable for short runs between network devices where high bandwidth and low interference are priorities. Pair with compatible network equipment supporting higher-speed Ethernet standards and maintain gentle bend radii to protect shielding. If running alongside power cabling or in electrically noisy environments, allow separation or use dedicated cable management to minimize potential interference.
