Dichroïsch lichtfilter EUROLITE 41906653 Red Frost 165×132 mm

The EUROLITE 41906653 Red Frost dichroic lighting filter (165×132 mm) is a precision optical accessory designed to produce a stable red frost effect for stage, studio and architectural lighting. The filter uses dichroic coating technology to selectively transmit red wavelengths while reflecting others, delivering consistent color performance and reduced heat gain compared with conventional gel filters. Sized for easy mounting in compatible fixtures, it is intended for applications where long-term color stability and professional results are required.

Advantages

The dichroic coating provides long-lasting color fidelity and resists fading under high-intensity lamps. Its tempered glass substrate maintains optical clarity and dimensional stability, while the filter’s design minimizes additional heat load on fixtures by reflecting unwanted infrared. The standardized rectangular format (165×132 mm) allows straightforward installation in many theater and concert luminaires. Overall, the filter offers reliable color control with low maintenance and predictable behavior over time.

How to use

Handle the filter by its edges and avoid touching coated surfaces to prevent fingerprints and abrasion. Insert the 165×132 mm filter into the fixture’s compatible holder or frame following the luminaire manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure the filter is securely seated and clear of moving parts or lamp arcs. When used with high-power fixtures, allow for adequate ventilation and follow the fixture’s thermal ratings; check the filter periodically for signs of coating degradation or damage and replace if any cracking or loss of optical quality is observed.

Recommendations

For consistent results, use the EUROLITE Red Frost dichroic filter in fixtures that support glass dichroic media and within the lamp power and temperature limits specified by the luminaire. Clean only with a soft, lint-free cloth and approved glass cleaner; avoid abrasive materials. Store flat and protected from mechanical shock to preserve coating integrity and optical performance.
