DIGITUS Cat 5e UTP netwerk-patchkabel RJ-45 stekker naar stekker, 25 cm, geel DK-1512-0025/Y

In a busy office or a home network setup, a short patch cable is often the missing link between a patch panel and a switch, or between a wall outlet and a desktop computer. This 25 cm yellow Cat 5e UTP cable from DIGITUS is exactly that kind of essential connector—short enough to keep cable management tidy, yet fully capable of Gigabit Ethernet speeds. It’s the kind of cable you grab when you need a reliable, no-frills link that just works, whether you're wiring a server rack or tidying up a desk area.

Key specifications

• Category 5e performance, supporting up to 1 Gbps data transfer rates and 100 MHz bandwidth
• Unshielded twisted pair (U/UTP) construction with 4 pairs (8 conductors) of copper wire
• Molded RJ-45 male connectors on both ends, wired to TIA/EIA 568B standard

• Color: Yellow for easy identification and color-coding
• Durable PVC jacket protects the cable from everyday wear
• Backward compatible with Cat 5 and Cat 3 networks

Why choose it

This cable is built for performance and convenience. The short length reduces clutter and signal loss, while the Cat 5e rating ensures you get full Gigabit Ethernet speeds. The yellow color makes it easy to spot in a crowded rack or to color-code different connections. The molded boots provide strain relief, so the connectors won't snap off even with frequent plugging and unplugging. It's a small but critical component that keeps your network running smoothly.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a patch panel to a switch in a server rack
• Linking a wall outlet to a desktop computer or laptop dock
• Short runs between network devices on a desk or shelf
• Color-coding network segments for easy management
• Replacing worn or damaged short patch cables

Good to know

The cable is unshielded (UTP), which is perfectly fine for most indoor environments without heavy electromagnetic interference. It meets the TIA/EIA 568B wiring standard, ensuring compatibility with standard network equipment. The PVC jacket is flexible and durable, and the yellow color is bright enough to be easily identified. This cable is a simple, reliable choice for any Cat 5e network.
