Digitus CAT 6 modulaire koppeling, afgeschermd, 2 stuks, RJ-45, goudcontacten, zilver

The Digitus CAT 6 modular coupler is a compact adapter with two shielded RJ45 sockets arranged 1:1 for quick extension of existing patch cables. It has gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and durability, and a silver housing that provides additional shielding to reduce interference and ensure a stable network connection.

Advantages

The shielded RJ45 sockets offer optimized protection against electromagnetic interference, while gold contacts enhance signal transmission and resist corrosion. The coupler is designed for a long mating-cycle life, enabling repeated connections without significant wear. Its 1:1 wiring preserves original cable pinout for simple plug-and-play use.

Suitable for

• Extending CAT 6 or CAT 5e patch cables
• Temporary network setups and cable routing adjustments
• Small office, home network and server cabinet patching

How to use

Insert the male RJ45 plug of each patch cable into the coupler’s RJ45 sockets until they click into place. Ensure both connected cables use the same wiring standard (T568A or T568B) to maintain a 1:1 pin assignment. After connection, test the link with a cable tester if required to confirm continuity and signal quality.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the coupler with CAT 6 cables and avoid creating multiple consecutive couplings in a single link. Place the coupler in a protected location to prevent mechanical strain on the connectors and reduce potential interference from nearby unshielded sources.
