DIGITUS HDMI AOC hybride glasvezelkabel UHD 8K 40 m

The DIGITUS HDMI AOC hybrid fiber optic cable UHD 8K 40 m is an active HDMI 2.1 cable designed for lossless transmission of uncompressed video and audio over long distances. Combining fiber optic and copper conductors, the cable supports up to 48 Gbps bandwidth and delivers 8K @ 60 Hz (UHD-2) resolution with zero frame delay. With a compact outer diameter of 4.8 mm, a minimum bending radius of 20 mm and EMI resistance, the cable is intended for professional AV installations as well as demanding residential setups where high-resolution, high-bandwidth HDMI connectivity is required.

Advantages

The hybrid AOC design provides stable, long-distance signal transmission without latency while remaining insensitive to electromagnetic interference. Plug & Play operation requires no additional drivers. Support for HDR, HDCP 2.2, eARC, CEC and EDID ensures compatibility with current HDMI features and high-quality audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. A small diameter and controlled cable drum make routing and installation easier in confined or fixed installation environments.

Suitable for

• Professional AV installations and conference rooms
• Digital signage and large-screen displays in public areas
• Home cinemas and 8K-capable entertainment systems
• Fixed cabling runs where EMI resistance is required
• Environments needing long HDMI runs up to 40 meters

How to use

Connect one HDMI end to the source device (for example a media player, PC or AV receiver) and the other HDMI end to the display or projector. The active cable requires no external power or additional drivers; after connection the devices negotiate EDID and HDCP automatically. Route the cable using the supplied cable drum for controlled unwinding and avoid bending below the specified 20 mm radius. Ensure compatible HDMI inputs and outputs on connected devices to take full advantage of 8K @ 60 Hz and advanced audio formats.

Recommendations

For best results, use certified HDMI 2.1-capable source and display devices, enable HDR and relevant audio settings in the device menus, and avoid tight bends or kinks during installation. If using adapters, verify compatibility with DVI or other interfaces and test EDID/HDCP behavior before final installation.
