DIGITUS HDMI AOC hybride glasvezelkabel UHD 8K 50 m

The DIGITUS HDMI AOC hybrid fiber optic cable UHD 8K 50 m is an active HDMI 2.1-compatible cable designed for long-distance transmission of uncompressed video and audio. Combining optical fiber and copper conductors in a hybrid construction, it carries UHD 8K signals at 60 Hz with up to 48 Gbps bandwidth over a 50 m run. The compact cable (outer diameter 4.8 mm) is flexible with a 20 mm bending radius and is delivered on a cable drum for controlled, kink-free installation. The cable supports HDR, HDCP 2.2, EDID, CEC and eARC and is immune to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for professional AV setups and fixed installations where stable, lossless HDMI performance is required.

Advantages

The hybrid active optical design provides loss-free, delay-free transmission of high-resolution HDMI signals across long distances. Small diameter and high flexibility enable simple routing in confined spaces, and the cable’s EMI resistance preserves signal integrity in environments with electrical noise. Supported HDMI 2.1 features and high audio format compatibility ensure broad interoperability with modern sources and displays without additional drivers—just plug and play.

Suitable for

• Home cinema systems requiring long HDMI runs and 8K playback
• Conference rooms and meeting spaces with remote displays
• Digital signage installations in retail and public areas
• Fixed AV installations in theatres, auditoriums and control rooms

How to use

Unwind the cable from the drum and route it along the planned path maintaining the minimum bending radius of 20 mm. Connect the HDMI connectors to source and display devices; the active optics and electronics are powered via the HDMI interface so no external power supply or drivers are required. Ensure HDMI source and display settings match the desired resolution and audio format; EDID is negotiated automatically. Avoid tight kinks and secure the cable along its path to prevent mechanical strain.

Recommendations

For reliable 8K 60 Hz performance, use certified HDMI 2.1 source and display devices and verify HDCP and HDR settings in device menus. When installing in professional AV environments, maintain separation from high-voltage power cables where possible and support the cable at regular intervals to avoid stress on connectors. For best results with long runs, test the full signal chain before final installation.
