DIGITUS HDMI KVM Extender Set – 4K/30Hz 40/70m PoC CAT zwart

DIGITUS DS-55357 HDMI up to 4K over 60 m is a KVM extender set designed to transmit HDMI video and USB HID signals between a host computer and a remote workstation at distances up to 60 meters. The set supports up to 4K video resolution, enabling detailed image transmission for applications where the computer hardware is located away from the user’s display and input devices. It provides a practical solution for centralized equipment placement, minimizing noise and heat at the workstation while maintaining full keyboard, video and mouse control.

Advantages

The DIGITUS DS-55357 set delivers high-resolution HDMI transmission up to 4K across a single extended connection, preserving image clarity over long cable runs up to 60 m. It also extends USB HID devices for reliable keyboard and mouse functionality, reducing the need for multiple remote peripherals. Installation is straightforward with clearly separated local and remote units, and the compact design supports integration into office, control room or presentation environments without occupying much space.

Suitable for

• Office workstations requiring centralized computer placement
• Control rooms and monitoring stations where long-distance video distribution is needed
• Presentation and meeting rooms with a remote PC and large displays
• Educational environments where teacher or operator consoles are separated from PCs

Key specifications

• Video interface: HDMI, supports resolutions up to 4K (UHD)
• Maximum transmission distance: up to 60 m over compatible cabling
• Data extended: keyboard and mouse via USB HID
• Form factor: separate local (transmitter) and remote (receiver) units for easy placement
• Power: externally powered units (power adapters included)

How to use

Connect the local unit to the host computer’s HDMI output and a USB port for keyboard/mouse signals. Place the remote unit near the display and user peripherals, then connect the remote unit’s HDMI output to the monitor and its USB port to the keyboard and mouse. Link the local and remote units with the required cabling rated for the supported distance. Power both units with the supplied adapters and verify the display resolution and input devices are detected by the host system.

Recommendations

For reliable performance at longer distances, use high-quality shielded cables and avoid routing near large sources of electrical interference. Confirm cable type and length compatibility with the 60 m maximum to maintain 4K signal quality, and ensure power adapters are securely connected for stable operation.
