DIGITUS installatiekabel - Cat 7 - S/FTP - AWG 23/1 - simplex - 100 m - oranje

Digitus Cat 7 installation cable provides future-oriented standards and high-end quality for structured building and data centre cabling. It supports 10 GBit Ethernet, offers a transmission frequency up to 1200 MHz, is permanent-link certified and allows Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) usage. The cable meets multiple international standards including ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50288-4-1, DIN EN 50173, IEC 61156-7 and EN 50288-9-1, and features a shielding structure of individually shielded pairs with a tinned copper braid for stable analog and digital data transmission.

Advantages

The shielded pair design with tinned copper braid ensures reliable electromagnetic protection and consistent electrical performance. Support for 10 GBit Ethernet and a 1200 MHz transmission frequency makes the cable suitable for high-speed network applications. Permanent-link certification guarantees compliance with cabling installation requirements, while PoE and PoE+ compatibility enables powered devices to operate without separate power lines. Compliance with international standards ensures interoperability in structured cabling systems.

How to use

Install the Digitus Cat 7 cable following structured cabling practices and the permanent link testing procedures specified for your installation. Use appropriate connectors and shielded components to maintain the integrity of the S/FTP shielding. Observe PoE power budgets when connecting powered devices. Terminate and test each permanent link with certified testing equipment to verify performance up to 10 GBit and 1200 MHz.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use shielded RJ45 connectors and compatible Cat 7-rated patch panels and keystones, maintain correct bend radii during installation, and perform permanent link certification after termination. Ensure PoE power requirements of connected devices do not exceed the allowed power delivery for your infrastructure.
