DIGITUS installatiekabel - Cat. 7 - S/FTP - AWG 23/1 - simplex - 1000 m - oranje

The Digitus Cat.7 S/FTP 1000m installation cable is a high-performance network cable designed for structured cabling in data centers and buildings. It supports 10 Gbit Ethernet transmission and a transmission frequency up to 1200 MHz, is permanently link certified and meets CPR class Dca-s1a,d1,a1. The cable's orange jacket makes it easily identifiable in installation environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines individually foil-wrapped pairs with an overall tinned copper braid to provide robust protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, maintaining stable electrical characteristics. The cable supports Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) and is manufactured to standards including ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50288-4-1, DIN EN 50173, IEC 61156-7 and EN 50288-9-1, which ensures suitability for professional structured cabling installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gbit Ethernet links in data centers and enterprise networks
• Backbone and horizontal building cabling conforming to international standards
• Applications requiring PoE or PoE+ power delivery to devices
• Environments where permanent link certification is required

How to use

Install the Digitus Cat.7 S/FTP cable as part of structured permanent link or channel cabling according to applicable installation standards and local codes. Terminate the cable with compatible Cat.7 keystone jacks or plugs and use appropriate tools to ensure correct pair alignment and shield grounding. Verify links with a permanent link tester to confirm certification results and expected performance up to 10 Gbit/s at frequencies up to 1200 MHz.

Recommendations

Run the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources and maintain proper bend radius and separation from power cabling. Ensure the braid is properly connected to grounding points when terminating to preserve shielding effectiveness. Use this cable for fixed structured cabling; it is not supplied with factory-attached connectors.
