DIGITUS patchkabel - CAT6 - S/FTP - Snagless - Cu - 5m - blauw - 10-pack

DIGITUS Category 6 Class E patch cords deliver future-oriented standards and high-end quality for wired networks. The cable features an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath for improved fire behaviour and reduced smoke emissions, a transparent red plug with metal shielding for easy identification of Category 6 (250 MHz), copper conductors and PoE+ readiness. Each patch cord includes a molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and a latch protector to prevent the locking tab from breaking.

Advantages

Manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 specifications, these DIGITUS patch cords ensure compliance with ISO & EN channel requirements and provide reliable performance up to 250 MHz, including NEXT characteristics. The LSZH sheath improves safety in case of fire, the metal-shielded transparent red connector enables quick visual identification of Category 6 cabling, and the molded boot increases mechanical durability during installation and use.

Key specifications

• Category: 6 (Class E)
• Frequency: up to 250 MHz
• Conductor material: Copper (Cu)
• Sheath: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Connector: transparent red plug with metal shielding
• PoE support: PoE+
• Molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection
• Standards: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173

How to use

Connect the patch cord between network devices such as switches, patch panels and end equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages; the molded boot and latch protector reduce the risk of damage during handling. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension to maintain performance and mechanical integrity. The LSZH sheath makes it suitable for installations where low smoke and halogen-free materials are required.

Recommendations

For optimum network performance, use DIGITUS Category 6 patch cords within an ISO/EN-compliant cabling channel and avoid exceeding the maximum bend radius or applying excessive pull forces during installation. Choose the transparent red metal-shielded connector to simplify identification of Category 6 links in mixed-cable environments.
