DIGITUS patchkabel - CAT6 - U/UTP - Snagless - Cu - 5m - zwart

The DIGITUS Patch Cord CAT 6 U/UTP LSZH 5m is a Category 6 network patch cable designed for reliable data transmission up to 250 MHz. The 5 m black cable uses copper conductors and LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath for reduced smoke and safer fire behaviour. A transparent red RJ-45 plug provides quick visual identification of Category 6 cabling, and the cable is PoE+ ready for powered devices.

Advantages

This patch cord is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 standards, ensuring channel compliance and consistent performance characteristics including NEXT up to 250 MHz. It features molded boots with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection to reduce the risk of connector damage. The U/UTP construction and copper conductor deliver stable Gigabit Ethernet connections and durable operation for home, office or server-room use.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000Base-T(X)) connections
• Patch panels, switches and network outlets in offices and homes
• PoE/PoE+ powered devices such as IP phones and access points

Key specifications

• Cabling category: Cat 6 (Class E), tested up to 250 MHz
• Length: 5 m
• Conductor material: Copper (Cu)
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair, overall unshielded)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, transparent red plug
• Sheath: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Colour: Black
• Standards: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (switch, router or patch panel) and the other to the corresponding outlet or device. Ensure connectors click into place and that the cable is routed without sharp bends to preserve the kink protection and strain relief. For PoE devices, verify the power requirements and compatibility of your switch or injector before use.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight cable bundles with power lines and maintain the recommended bend radius. Use this Cat 6 LSZH patch cord in environments where reduced smoke emission is required, such as office buildings, public areas and server rooms.
