DIGITUS SC fiber pigtail loose buffer 50/125 µ 12 stuks - kleurcode DIN IEC 304 lengte 2 m klasse OM3

The DIGITUS Fiber Optic SC OM3 50/125 µm Simplex pigtail, 2 m, provides high-quality fiber connections for data centers and telecom systems. Designed to meet modern standards, this OM3 multimode pigtail ensures reliable high-speed data transmission and compatibility with SC simplex terminations. The connector uses a zirconia ceramic ferrule and the product follows IEC connector standards to maintain consistent link performance.

Advantages

The pigtail offers standardized SC simplex connectivity with a zirconia ferrule for stable insertion loss and long-term durability. OM3 multimode fiber supports enhanced bandwidth for short- to medium-range high-speed applications. Color-coded buffered jacket simplifies identification and organization in patch panels and fiber trays.

Suitable for

• Data center fiber patching and panel terminations
• Telecommunications racks and equipment connections
• Short- to medium-distance multimode networks using OM3 50/125 µm fiber
• Integration with SC simplex ports on networking devices

How to use

Route the pigtail from the fiber termination point to the patch panel or splice tray. If splicing to installed fiber, prepare and cleave the field fiber according to standard splicing procedures and perform a fusion splice to the pigtail. For direct connector terminations, insert the SC connector into the corresponding SC simplex adapter or port until it clicks. Secure the buffered jacket inside cable management to avoid stress on the ferrule and splice points.

Recommendations

Use this OM3 SC simplex pigtail for organized patching and splicing in data centers and telecom cabinets. Keep connectors capped when not in use, follow cleaning procedures for fiber endfaces, and avoid bending the fiber beyond its minimum bend radius to maintain performance.
