DIGITUS USB-C dockingstation, 7-poorts - HDMI / 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 / GbE / SD / MicroSD - 100W USB Power Delivery

The Digitus USB-C docking station DA-70914 adds seven ports to a notebook, combining video, data, charging and network connections in a compact unit. It provides an HDMI output capable of 4K/60Hz, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports (10 Gbit/s) including one with a 1.5A charging function for mobile devices, a Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) port, SD and MicroSD card readers with up to 104 MB/s transfer speed, and a USB-C Power Delivery port that supports up to 100W and PD 3.0 Fast Role Swap (FRS). The docking station has an integrated 20 cm USB-C cable, an aluminium top cover and supports DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP 1.4, backwards compatible with DP 1.2), HDCP 2.2/1.4/1.3 and HDR10+.

Advantages

This docking station centralises multiple interfaces to expand a laptop workstation without adding clutter. High-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports enable fast data transfer while one port supplies charging to mobile devices. The HDMI 4K/60Hz output and DP Alt Mode support permit connection of an external monitor with high-resolution video. A Gigabit Ethernet port offers a stable wired network connection and dual card readers speed up media transfers. Integrated PD 3.0 with Fast Role Swap maintains power delivery continuity when the charger is disconnected.

Insert SD or MicroSD cards into the respective slots for media transfer and plug USB devices into the USB-A ports. Use the USB-C Power Delivery port to charge the notebook; PD 3.0 FRS keeps the data link active if the power adapter is briefly unplugged.

Recommendations

For optimal video output, use high-quality HDMI cables rated for 4K/60Hz and ensure the host device supports DP Alt Mode. When transferring large files from cards, use the USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports for fastest throughput. If full 100W charging is required, verify the connected USB-C power adapter provides sufficient wattage.
