Directe aansluiting AOC-kabel CBO SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M 3 m – compatibel met QNAP

The Direct Attach AOC cable CBO SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M 3 m is an active optical cable designed for SFP28 ports and listed as compatible with QNAP devices. This 3‑meter AOC provides a low‑power, compact connection for 25GbE or other SFP28‑capable networking equipment, intended for short‑reach interconnects between top‑of‑rack switches, servers and storage appliances. The single‑cable solution reduces the need for transceivers and copper patching, simplifies rack cabling and minimizes signal loss over short distances.

Advantages

The AOC construction delivers lower power consumption compared with separate transceiver plus fiber assemblies and eliminates the need for separate fiber patch cords. The integrated design ensures consistent optical performance and reduces insertion points, which helps maintain signal integrity. Its compatibility with SFP28 ports and listing for QNAP devices supports straightforward integration into existing infrastructures without additional configuration. The 3‑meter length balances flexibility and tidy cable management in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• Short‑reach 25GbE links between switches and servers in data centers
• Interconnects between storage appliances and network switches
• Patch replacement in racks to reduce cable bulk and simplify layout
• Environments requiring low‑power, low‑latency optical connections

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 compatible active optical cable
• Data rate: supports 25 Gigabit Ethernet signaling
• Length: 3 meters
• Connector type: integrated SFP28 ends for direct insertion into SFP28 ports
• Medium: active optical fiber with integrated transceivers
• Typical use: short‑reach data center interconnects and rack cabling

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 end into the corresponding SFP28 port on the networking devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered off or follow hot‑swap guidelines from the equipment vendor if supported. After insertion, verify link status and speed on both devices and check system logs for any compatibility messages. For removal, depress the latch and pull the module straight out to avoid stressing the fiber assembly.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use the 3 m length for connections inside a single rack or between adjacent racks. Verify firmware and compatibility lists on QNAP or other switch vendors if using vendor‑specific compatibility checks. Avoid exposure to liquids and high temperatures, and store unused cables in protective packaging when not installed.
