DisplayPort-kabel Gembird CC-DP8K-AOC-20M 20m zwart

The Gembird CC-DP8K-AOC-20M is an active optical DisplayPort cable that transmits digital video over fiber optic lines, designed for long-distance connections up to 20 m without external power. With a slim 4.5 mm diameter and metal connectors, this 20 m black DisplayPort cable supports high-resolution signals while reducing susceptibility to electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference.

Advantages

Active Optical Cable (AOC) technology enables stable transmission over longer distances than copper cables and lowers the risk of EMI/RFI in environments with high interference. The cable integrates copper power wires so no external power supply is necessary. Its extra-thin 4.5 mm diameter and durable construction with metal connectors make it easier to route and more robust than many traditional DisplayPort copper cables. Supports up to 8K UHD at 60 Hz for high-resolution displays.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, workstations or media players to monitors and displays over distances up to 20 m
• Professional AV installations and conference rooms where long cable runs are required
• Environments with significant EMI/RFI where optical transmission improves signal integrity
• High-resolution video setups requiring 8K@60Hz or multi-monitor configurations

How to use

Connect one DisplayPort connector to the source device (PC, laptop, or media player) and the other connector to the display or monitor. The cable contains internal copper power lines so no external power adapter is required. Ensure both devices support the desired resolution and set the display settings in the operating system or graphics driver to match 8K@60Hz if supported. Route the slim cable through cable channels or under desks as needed.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable. Use DisplayPort-compliant ports and keep connectors clean. When deploying in areas with strong electromagnetic interference or long runs, AOC cables like this model provide improved signal stability compared with standard copper DisplayPort cables.
