Dockingstation DELL TB16 bedraad Thunderbolt 3 zwart

The Dell Thunderbolt Dock TB16 -240W is a wired Thunderbolt 3 docking station that provides a single-cable connection to expand laptop connectivity. In a compact black housing (145 x 145 x 51 mm), it supports high-speed data transfers up to 40 Gbps and can drive multiple external displays: up to three FHD displays, two 4K displays, or one 5K display at 60 Hz. The dock includes Ethernet (10/100/1000), multiple USB ports, an HDMI port and a Kensington lock slot, and can deliver power to compatible Dell Precision, Latitude and XPS notebooks.

Advantages

The TB16 offers high-bandwidth Thunderbolt 3 data transfer for fast file movement and video workflows, a small footprint that fits most workspaces, and a broad set of ports (USB-A, USB 2.0, HDMI, RJ-45) to reduce the need for multiple adapters. It supplies laptop charging (up to 130W for supported Dell models) and up to 60W to attached Thunderbolt 3 peripherals, enabling both power and peripheral connectivity through one cable.

Suitable for

• Power users and workstation clients who require multiple external displays
• Video editing and large-file transfer workflows
• Office or home workstations needing Ethernet and multiple USB ports
• Users who prefer a single-cable docking solution for Dell Precision, Latitude or XPS laptops with Thunderbolt 3

How to use

Place the TB16 on a stable surface near your laptop and connect its AC power adapter to mains. Plug the dock’s Thunderbolt 3 cable into the Thunderbolt 3 port on your laptop. Connect external displays, USB devices, and Ethernet cable to the corresponding ports on the dock. The laptop will receive power from the dock when supported models are connected; for certain high-power Dell Precision workstations (for example Precision 7510/7520/7530/7710/7720/7730) an additional workstation power adapter may be required for optimal performance.

Recommendations

For best results with Precision 7530 or 7730, consider the Dell Precision Thunderbolt Dock TB18DC with a dual USB-C connector that supports up to 210W power delivery; otherwise keep the workstation power adapter connected when using power-hungry Precision models with the TB16.
