Draadborstel Bosch potborstel geknoopt draad diameter 1 cm

The Bosch Pencil Brush with knotted wire and 1 cm diameter is a compact rotary brush intended for medium-duty cleaning and surface preparation. Designed for use with drills that accept a 6 mm shank, it reaches tight spaces such as corners, pipe interiors and profiles. The knotted-wire construction removes heavy rust, varnish and paint, and different wire thicknesses allow choice between more aggressive or finer surface finishes.

Advantages

The knotted-wire design provides aggressive cutting action for rapid removal of rust, paint and coatings while maintaining structural durability. Its pencil-shaped form and small 1 cm diameter enable access to confined or angled areas that larger brushes cannot reach. Compatibility with a 6 mm shank makes it suitable for common drill chucks and straightforward to fit. Available wire thickness options let you select coarser wires for faster, rougher material removal or finer wires for smoother finishing.

How to use

Fit the pencil brush into a drill chuck that accepts a 6 mm shank and secure it firmly. Operate the drill at moderate speed appropriate for the material and wire thickness; higher speeds increase aggressiveness but may reduce control. Apply steady, light-to-moderate pressure and move the brush evenly across the work area to remove rust, paint or coatings. Avoid excessive force that could damage the underlying substrate or prematurely wear the brush.

Recommendations

Use thicker knotted wire for faster, coarse removal of heavy rust and coatings; choose thinner wire for finer surface finishing. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves and respiratory protection if dust or particles are generated) and follow drill manufacturer safety instructions.
