Draadloos access point Grandstream GWN7624 2,4 GHz 5 GHz

The Grandstream GWN7624 is an in-wall wireless access point that supports dual-band Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with a maximum data transfer rate of 1733 Mbit/s. Designed for installation into a wall plate, it integrates four Gigabit Ethernet ports — two of which provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) — to deliver network connectivity and power to devices such as IP phones, computers and TVs. The unit supports modern security protocols including WPA3 and complies with common IEEE networking standards.

Advantages

The GWN7624 combines dual-band wireless performance with four Gigabit RJ-45 ports in a compact in-wall form factor, simplifying cabling and maintaining a clean installation. Built-in PoE on two ports reduces the need for separate power adapters for compatible devices. Support for WPA3 and multiple IEEE standards ensures secure and compatible connectivity across a range of client devices.

Suitable for

• Small offices and home offices requiring a discreet in-wall AP
• Hotel rooms, meeting rooms or classrooms where wall-mounted connectivity is preferred
• Deployments that need PoE to power IP phones, cameras or other devices
• Homes and apartments needing dual-band Wi‑Fi coverage with wired LAN ports

How to use

Install the GWN7624 into a standard in-wall junction box or wall plate opening following the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Connect the device to a Gigabit Ethernet switch or PoE source using Cat5e or better cabling. Configure the wireless settings, security (WPA3 if supported by clients) and network parameters via the Grandstream management interface or compatible controller software. Connect client devices to the wireless network or to the wired LAN ports as needed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, place the access point in a central wall location, use quality Cat5e/6 cabling, enable WPA3 where client devices support it, and ensure your PoE source supplies sufficient power for connected devices. Regularly update firmware to maintain security and stability.
