Draadloos access point Grandstream GWN7660E 2,4 GHz 5 GHz

The Grandstream GWN7660E is an enterprise-grade dual-band wireless access point supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with a combined maximum data transfer rate of 1770 Mbit/s. It provides MU‑MIMO on both bands (2x2:2 on 2.4 GHz and 3x3:2 on 5 GHz), integrated security features including WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA2-PSK and WPA3, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) support for simplified installation.

Advantages

The GWN7660E delivers high-density performance and efficient multi-user throughput thanks to Wi‑Fi 6 and MU‑MIMO technology. Dual-band operation (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) helps balance legacy and high‑speed clients, while PoE connectivity reduces cabling requirements. Built‑in security protocols and IEEE 802.11ax compatibility make it suitable for enterprise networks requiring reliable, managed wireless access.

Suitable for

• Office environments with medium to high client density
• Retail spaces and hospitality venues requiring reliable guest access
• Classrooms, conference rooms and meeting areas
• Small to medium enterprises seeking centralized wireless deployments

How to use

Mount the access point in a central location for optimal coverage and connect it to a PoE switch or injector using an RJ‑45 Ethernet cable. Configure network SSIDs, security (WPA2/WPA3) and radio settings through the Grandstream management interface or compatible network controller. Place additional GWN7660E units as needed to extend coverage and manage channel planning to minimise interference.

Recommendations

For best performance in high-density environments, enable Wi‑Fi 6 features, use separate SSIDs for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz clients where appropriate, and deploy PoE switches with adequate power headroom. Regularly update firmware to maintain security and interoperability.
