Draadloos access point Tenda O9 2,4 GHz 5 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11ac

The Tenda O9 is a dual-band wireless access point that supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi networks using IEEE 802.11ac/n/a standards. Offering a maximum wireless data rate of 867 Mbit/s and a single Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) port, this white outdoor CPE is intended for long‑range point‑to‑point (PtP) and point‑to‑multipoint (PtMP) wireless links. Equipped with a directional 23 dBi dual‑polarization antenna and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, the O9 provides a solution for private ISP wireless connectivity, CCTV surveillance and stable data transmission over extended distances up to 25 km when line of sight conditions are met.

Advantages

The device combines dual‑band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz operation with IEEE 802.11ac performance to balance coverage and throughput. A high‑gain 23 dBi directional antenna and dual polarization improve signal focus and long‑distance stability for PtP and PtMP deployments. PoE support simplifies installation by allowing both power and data to be delivered over a single Ethernet cable. Auto‑bridging technology enables two O9 units to establish a link automatically, reducing setup complexity for outdoor networks.

Suitable for

• Long‑range point‑to‑point wireless links between buildings
• Point‑to‑multipoint connectivity for small private ISPs
• Outdoor CCTV and surveillance backhaul
• Wireless data transmission in remote or rural areas with line of sight

How to use

Mount the Tenda O9 in an outdoor location with a clear line of sight toward the remote unit or coverage area. Connect the unit to a PoE injector or PoE‑capable switch using a CAT5e or better Ethernet cable to supply both power and data. Use the web management interface to configure network mode (PtP or PtMP), SSID, security (WPA2) and channel settings. For automated bridging, enable the auto‑bridging feature on both units and verify alignment and signal strength before finalizing mounting hardware.

Recommendations

For optimal long‑range performance, ensure precise physical alignment between directional antennas, use quality shielded Ethernet cabling rated for outdoor use, and avoid obstructions in the line of sight. Regularly check firmware updates from the manufacturer and apply WPA2 security settings to protect transmitted data.
