Draadloze netwerkkaart ASUS WL-PCE-AX1800 Wi‑Fi 6 dualband PCIe

The ASUS WL-PCE-AX1800 Wi‑Fi 6 Dual Band PCIe wireless network card adds modern wireless connectivity to a desktop PC. Based on the 802.11ax standard, this PCIe adapter provides dual‑band support for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, enabling higher throughput and reduced latency compared with older Wi‑Fi generations. The card is designed for integration into standard desktop systems and aims to improve performance for streaming, online gaming and large file transfers while maintaining compatibility with existing network equipment.

Advantages

ASUS WL-PCE-AX1800 delivers improved wireless efficiency through Wi‑Fi 6 technologies, including better handling of multiple connected devices and reduced congestion on busy networks. The dual‑band operation gives flexibility to connect to either 2.4 GHz for longer range or 5 GHz for higher speed. As a PCIe card, it provides a stable onboard connection and external antenna support for optimized signal reception. The design supports common desktop form factors and integrates with standard PCIe slots without requiring external adapters.

Suitable for

• Home users upgrading a desktop PC to Wi‑Fi 6 for faster wireless internet access
• Small office environments with multiple connected devices and moderate network load
• Online gaming where lower latency and stable connectivity are important
• High‑definition video streaming and large file transfers over wireless networks

Key specifications

• Wireless standard: IEEE 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6) with backward compatibility
• Frequency bands: Dual‑band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
• Maximum combined throughput class: AX1800 class performance
• Interface: PCI Express (PCIe) card for desktop installation
• Antenna: External adjustable antenna(s) for improved reception
• Features: MU‑MIMO and improved network efficiency for multiple clients

How to use

Install the ASUS WL-PCE-AX1800 into an available PCIe slot on the desktop motherboard, secure the card with the case bracket, and attach the external antenna(s) for optimal reception. After powering on the PC, install the appropriate drivers and utilities provided by the manufacturer or through the operating system update mechanism. Use the system network settings to select the desired SSID and configure wireless security (WPA2/WPA3 where supported). Adjust antenna orientation and placement of the desktop to improve signal strength if necessary.

Recommendations

Position the external antenna(s) vertically and avoid placing the desktop in enclosed metal cabinets to maximize signal coverage. Select the 5 GHz band for low‑latency activities such as gaming and streaming when in close range, and use the 2.4 GHz band when additional range through walls is required. Keep drivers up to date to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
