Duplex LC-LC glasvezelstekker afdekkap, ShiverPeaks 07-60033, paars, S/CONN glasvezel

The Duplex LC-LC Fiber Optic Connector Shutter by ShiverPeaks is a protective shutter designed for standard LC duplex terminations. Sized to fit the conventional LC footprint, the violet shutter covers and safeguards the ferrules and adapter openings from dust, debris and accidental contact while preserving optical alignment and accessibility. It is intended for use in patch panels, fiber distribution frames and field closures where maintaining clean connections and safe handling of duplex LC links is required.

Advantages

The shutter provides reliable contamination protection without altering the physical connector layout or connection spacing. Its compact duplex form preserves panel density and allows easy insertion and removal during maintenance. The durable material resists everyday handling and provides visual identification through a violet color option. Designed to protect delicate ferrules, the shutter reduces the need for frequent cleaning and minimizes the risk of connector damage from unintended contact.

Suitable for

• Patch panels with LC duplex adapters
• Fiber distribution frames and racks
• Field closures and splice enclosures
• Temporary protection during installation and transport

Key specifications

• Connector type compatibility: LC duplex
• Function: dust and contact protection for ferrules and adapters
• Footprint: fits standard LC adapter spacing
• Color: violet for visual identification
• Material: durable injection-molded plastic suitable for repeated use
• Mounting: snap-in/insert style for panel and adapter openings

How to use

Align the duplex shutter with the LC adapter opening so that each shutter port matches the corresponding adapter aperture. Insert the shutter gently until it snaps or seats flush with the panel surface. To access the connector, pull the shutter straight out without twisting to avoid stressing surrounding connectors. After maintenance or testing, reinsert the shutter to restore dust protection. The shutter is designed for repeated removal and insertion as part of regular installation and service routines.

Recommendations

Use the shutter whenever LC duplex ports are not actively connected to minimize contamination. Store spare shutters in a clean, dry container and replace any shutter that shows cracking or deformation to maintain effective protection.
