DVR Dahua Technology XVR1B16-I zwart 16 kanalen 1920x1080

The Dahua Technology XVR1B16-I is a 16-channel black DVR that supports up to 1920×1080 video input and mixed analog/IP camera connections. It integrates Dahua's WizSense AI features including SMD Plus for improved person and vehicle detection, multiple smart codecs (AI Coding, Smart H.265+) to reduce bitrate and storage usage, and auto-detection of common analog signals (HDCVI/AHD/TVI/CVBS). The recorder accepts up to 6 TB SATA hard drives, provides two USB 2.0 ports and one RJ-45 Fast Ethernet port, and is designed for straightforward installation with coaxial audio/upgrade/alarm support and long-distance transmission over coaxial or UTP.

Advantages

The XVR1B16-I combines AI-enhanced alarm accuracy with flexible camera compatibility, lowering false alarms through SMD Plus while supporting both high-definition HDCVI and up to 6MP IP inputs. Efficient video compression options (AI Coding and Smart H.265+) cut storage and bandwidth requirements. Auto-detect for analog signal types and integrated coaxial audio/upgrade/alarm reduce setup complexity and cabling needs.

Suitable for

• Small to medium business surveillance covering entrances, parking lots and indoor areas
• Residential complexes seeking reliable person/vehicle alarm detection
• Retrofit projects that require compatibility with existing coaxial cameras
• Sites needing extended cable runs (long-distance transmission over coax/UTP)

How to use

Install the DVR in a suitable enclosure or on a stable shelf and connect cameras using coaxial cable or network cables depending on camera type. Connect a SATA hard drive (up to 6 TB) for recording storage, attach a monitor to the video output for local viewing, and connect the unit to the network via the RJ-45 port for remote access. Configure AI Mode to enable SMD Plus or IVS & SMD as needed, choose the desired codec (AI Coding or Smart H.265+) to optimize storage, and set alarm and recording schedules through the recorder's menu.

Recommendations

Enable SMD Plus in AI Mode to reduce false alarms and select AI Coding or Smart H.265+ to lower bitrate and storage usage while preserving clear person and vehicle details. For long cable runs, use the recommended coaxial specifications or UTP with proper baluns and verify signal stability at your chosen resolution (up to 700 m for 4K/4MP, 800 m for 1080p, 1200 m for 720p where applicable).
