Electrolux E5SI2-6OG strijkijzer Glissium-zoolplaat 2400 W zwart, donkergroen

The Electrolux E5SI2-6OG Steam Function 2400W is a household steam iron designed for efficient removal of wrinkles from a wide range of fabrics. With a 2400W power rating and a non-stick soleplate, the iron is built to deliver steady heat distribution and smooth gliding across cotton, linen and blended textiles. The ergonomic handle and intuitive controls support comfortable, controlled ironing sessions while the steam function enhances crease removal and fabric care.

Advantages

The iron combines a high 2400W power output with a dedicated steam function to accelerate ironing and improve crease removal. A non-stick soleplate reduces friction and prevents fabric sticking, while the iron's balanced weight and ergonomic grip provide better control and reduced wrist strain. The steam capability ensures more effective smoothing of garments and faster results compared with dry ironing.

How to use

Fill the water reservoir according to the maximum mark and select the appropriate temperature setting for the fabric type. Allow the iron to heat until the ready indicator (if present) signals the set temperature. Use the steam function for stubborn creases, moving the iron evenly and avoiding prolonged contact on one spot. For delicate fabrics, reduce the temperature and use steam sparingly or place a pressing cloth between the soleplate and the garment.

Recommendations

Regularly descale the water reservoir if using hard water and empty the tank after use to prevent deposits. Always check fabric care labels and start ironing on the lowest recommended temperature, gradually increasing if necessary. Store the iron upright on a heat-resistant surface until fully cooled and avoid using abrasive cleaners on the soleplate.
