Equip Cat.5e afgeschermde verdeeldoos

The equip® Shielded Junction Box Cat.5e provides a compact and durable solution to join two network cables without the need for additional connectors or couplers. Made of ABS and finished in silver, this junction box supports permanent cabling installations and allows repairs or extensions using LSA terminals for a reliable, maintainable shielded connection.

Advantages

The junction box enables cable bridging without extra connectors, reducing material use and saving space. Its shielded design preserves Cat.5e signal integrity while the ABS housing offers mechanical protection. LSA terminals permit simple reconnection or extension after cable damage, and the small size and low weight make it easy to install and store.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Creating permanent Cat.5e cable joins in shielded network installations
• Repairing or extending damaged network cables using LSA terminals
• Compact installations where space and weight are limited
• Applications requiring maintained shield continuity between cable segments

How to use

Prepare the cables by stripping the outer sheath to expose the shield and pairs according to standard Cat.5e practice. Insert the wires into the LSA terminals and press them into place to establish the electrical connection and maintain shielding continuity. Close the housing to protect the termination. For permanent joints, ensure correct pairing and shielding contacts before final mounting.

Recommendations

Use the junction box in dry, protected environments and follow local cabling standards for Cat.5e installations. Verify shield continuity and test the connection after assembly. For installations exposed to mechanical stress or moisture, consider additional protection or indoor placement.
