Ericsson Cradlepoint E400-5GE-GL 5G WLAN-router met Wi-Fi 7 en 5-jarige NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials plan BL05-E400-5GE-GL-M

For branch locations that demand always-on connectivity without the complexity of separate appliances, the Ericsson Cradlepoint E400-5GE-GL merges a global 5G modem, Wi-Fi 7 access, and multi-gigabit wired switching in a single cloud-managed unit. Unlike typical fixed-line routers, it taps into sub-6 GHz 5G and LTE Cat 20 for primary or failover WAN, while four 2.5GbE LAN ports and a 2.5GbE WAN port eliminate bottlenecks for modern endpoints. The included 5-year NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials plan unlocks centralised configuration, monitoring, and security policy enforcement from any browser.

Highlights

• Integrated 5G NR (sub-6 GHz) and 4G LTE Cat 20 modem with dual 4FF SIM slots for carrier flexibility.
• Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) tri-band radio with 4x4 MIMO, OFDMA, and Multi-Link Operation for dense client environments.
• Five 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN + 4 LAN) for wired speeds beyond gigabit.
• Cloud-managed via NetCloud Manager with stateful firewall, IPsec/GRE/DMVPN VPN support.
• Quad-core ARM processor, 4GB RAM, and 8GB flash ensure responsive local processing.
• External antennas for both cellular and Wi-Fi optimise signal in varied deployments.

In daily use

Deploy the E400-5GE-GL on a desk or wall, insert active SIMs, and the router automatically establishes a secure tunnel to NetCloud. IT staff can push firmware updates, QoS policies, and VPN settings remotely, while local users enjoy seamless roaming across the tri-band Wi-Fi 7 network. When wired uplink fails, the integrated 5G modem takes over in seconds, keeping POS systems, VoIP phones, and cloud apps online. The USB 3.0 port supports peripheral connectivity, and the reset button allows quick recovery without opening a ticket.
