Ewent 1,5 m Cat6 UTP-netwerkkabel zwart U/UTP (UTP)

The Ewent 1.5m Cat6 RJ-45 U/UTP Black networking cable is a 1.5 metre Ethernet cable designed for wired local area network connections. It supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s and uses Cat6 cabling standards with U/UTP construction and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The black jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for home, office, or data cabinet installations while maintaining signal integrity for standard Ethernet applications.

Advantages

This Cat6 cable offers reliable Gigabit performance for data transfer, using U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with an overall unshielded jacket) construction to minimise crosstalk and interference in typical indoor environments. RJ-45 terminations on both ends ensure compatibility with common network devices such as routers, switches, network interface cards and patch panels. The 1.5 m length balances reach and cable management convenience, and the black outer jacket blends into most setups while resisting everyday wear.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers to switches or routers in home and office networks
• Patch connections in network racks and patch panels
• Linking network devices such as printers, NAS units, and smart TVs
• Short runs behind desks or entertainment centres where a compact cable length is preferred

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device and the other into the corresponding port on the router, switch or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click into place. Use the cable for standard network communication immediately after connection; no special configuration on the cable itself is required. For tidy installations, route the cable along cable management channels or use ties to avoid strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines and keep bends gentle to prevent damaging the twisted pairs. Choose the 1.5 m length for short to medium connections where excess slack is undesirable; for longer distances, select a longer Cat6 cable. Inspect connectors periodically for dust or damage and replace the cable if physical wear affects the connector latch or cable jacket.
