Ewent 5,0m Cat6 UTP-netwerkkabel grijs 5 m U/UTP (UTP)

The Ewent 5.0m Cat6 RJ-45 U/UTP networking cable provides a 5 meter connection designed for Gigabit Ethernet environments. It supports data rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and uses RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to maintain stable electrical contact. The U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair) design reduces crosstalk within the cable and is suitable for typical office and home networking installations where straightforward, reliable wired connectivity is required. The cable comes in a neutral grey finish to integrate with common network equipment and cabling runs.

Advantages

This Cat6 cable supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) applications and is tailored for high-speed wired connections. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact conductivity and resist corrosion. The 5 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across a room or between furniture and networking equipment without excess slack. The U/UTP construction balances performance and cost for standard network deployments.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops, or network devices to switches and routers
• Home and small office wired network installations
• Linking network-attached storage (NAS) or printers to the local network
• Temporary cabling for events, conferences, or testing environments

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Data rate support: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end of the cable to the Ethernet port of your device and the other end to a compatible port on a router, switch or modem. Ensure both connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For optimal performance avoid tight bends near the connector ends and keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference. If routing through cable channels or conduits, allow gentle curves rather than sharp angles.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 U/UTP cable for standard Gigabit wired links in home and small office environments. For installations near heavy machinery or in areas with significant electromagnetic interference consider using shielded cabling or alternative routing to maintain signal integrity.
