EXSYS EX-3672 USB 3.0 2,5-inch SATA HDD/SSD-behuizing - zwart

When a laptop drive outlives its host machine or you need fast, portable access to a bare 2.5-inch SATA disk, a reliable enclosure is essential. The EXSYS EX-3672 turns any 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD into a high-speed USB 3.0 external drive, delivering transfer rates up to 5 Gbps. Its tool-free aluminum housing dissipates heat efficiently while protecting the drive, and the UASP protocol ensures maximum performance with compatible systems. Simply slide in the drive, connect the included USB cable, and you have a compact, bus-powered storage solution that works with Windows, macOS, and Linux without drivers.

Who is it for

This enclosure is ideal for IT technicians, system builders, and anyone who needs to recover data from old laptop drives, expand storage on the go, or create a fast portable backup drive. It is equally useful for upgrading a game console or media player with an external SSD, or for cloning drives during system migrations. Because it supports both HDD and SSD up to 9.5 mm height, it covers the vast majority of 2.5-inch SATA drives on the market.

Tips

For best performance, connect the enclosure to a USB 3.0 port and ensure your operating system supports UASP (most modern systems do). If using an SSD, you may notice near-native speeds; with a mechanical HDD, speeds will be limited by the drive itself. To remove a drive safely, always eject the volume from your OS before disconnecting the cable. The aluminum body can become warm during extended transfers – this is normal and indicates effective heat dissipation.
