Externe harde schijf Silicon Power 1TB USB Type-A 2.0/3.2 Gen 1 Armor A65B

The Silicon Power Armor A65B is a 1TB external hard drive designed for portable data storage. It connects via USB Type-A supporting USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) transfer modes, offering compatibility with a wide range of computers and devices. The enclosure combines grey and black tones and features a rugged, shock-absorbing design intended to protect the internal hard disk from drops and impacts during transport.

Advantages

The drive provides a large 1TB capacity suitable for documents, multimedia and backup tasks while maintaining a compact and lightweight form factor at approximately 0.277 kg. USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity enables faster file transfer compared with legacy USB 2.0 ports while remaining backward compatible. The reinforced housing reduces the risk of data loss from accidental shocks, and the neutral grey and black styling fits both personal and professional environments.

Suitable for

• Portable backup of photos, videos and documents
• Expanding storage for laptop or desktop systems
• Transporting multimedia libraries between locations
• On-the-go data storage for fieldwork and business trips

Key specifications

• Storage capacity: 1000 GB (1 TB)
• Interface: USB Type-A, supports USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1)
• Weight: 0.277 kg
• Enclosure colour: Grey and Black
• Form factor: 2.5-inch external hard drive (portable HDD)

How to use

Connect the drive to a computer using the supplied USB Type-A cable. When connected to a system with USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, the drive negotiates higher transfer rates automatically; it will function at reduced speeds on USB 2.0 ports. The operating system typically recognises the drive as removable storage; open the drive in the file manager to copy, move or delete files. For first-time use, check drive formatting and partitioning via the system disk utility if required for your operating system.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, avoid exposing the drive to extreme temperatures or liquids, disconnect safely using the operating system’s eject function before unplugging, and keep backups of critical data stored on a second device or cloud service.
