The drive is recognized automatically on most modern operating systems; if required, format the SSD to the desired file system for your workflow. For best performance, plug into a host port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. Transfer files directly to and from the SE880, or run applications and edit media files stored on the drive.

Recommendations

For optimal sustained speeds, use a host device and cable that both support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. Keep firmware up to date and avoid extreme temperatures; for long-term storage, maintain at least one additional backup copy of important data.
