Externe SSD Lexar LSL500X002T-RNBNG — 2 TB, USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, tot 2000/1800 MB/s, aluminium behuizing

Lexar LSL500X002T-RNBNG is a portable external SSD with 2 TB capacity, USB Type-C connectivity and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface. The drive delivers sequential read speeds up to 2000 MB/s and write speeds up to 1800 MB/s for fast transfers and responsive file access. The compact aluminium housing in black and the 43 g weight make this SSD easy to carry and integrate into mobile work setups for content creation, backup and everyday storage tasks.

Advantages

The Lexar external SSD combines high sequential performance with a lightweight aluminium enclosure, offering reliable durability and thermal dissipation. USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 provides a high-bandwidth connection when paired with compatible hosts, reducing transfer time for large media files. The compact form factor and USB Type-C interface ensure broad compatibility with modern laptops and mobile workstations.

Suitable for

• Editing and transferring high-resolution photos and 4K video files
• On-location content capture and mobile post-production workflows
• Fast system backups and cloning tasks
• Storing large libraries of projects, assets and datasets
• Expanding storage for laptops and devices with USB Type-C ports

How to use

Connect the Lexar external SSD to a host device using the included USB Type-C cable or a compatible USB-C connection. For maximum throughput, connect to a host that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2; otherwise the drive will operate at the highest mutually supported USB speed. Use standard file manager tools to copy, move and manage files. No additional drivers are typically required for modern operating systems, but check the host device’s compatibility and file system support before initial use.

Recommendations

To maintain performance and longevity, avoid exposing the aluminium housing to extreme temperatures outside the 0–50 °C operating range, keep the drive on a stable surface during heavy transfers to ensure airflow, and periodically back up critical data to a secondary location. When moving large projects, verify that the host supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 to fully utilize read/write speeds up to 2000/1800 MB/s.
