F-lijmklem Bessey GS50 50 cm aluminium rood

The Bessey GS50 50 cm Aluminium Red F-clamp is a durable clamping tool designed for accurate holding during woodworking, metalworking and assembly tasks. Constructed primarily from aluminium, this model provides a balance of strength and reduced weight, making it easier to position and adjust compared to heavier steel clamps. With a 50 cm clamping capacity and a total weight of approximately 2.2 kg, it is intended for workshop and job-site use where stable, repeatable clamping is required.

Advantages

The aluminium body delivers corrosion resistance and lower weight while maintaining the rigidity needed for secure clamping. A long sliding bar enables wide opening capacity and precise incremental adjustment. Ergonomic handle geometry provides comfortable torque for consistent pressure without excessive user fatigue. The red finish improves visibility in busy work areas and helps locate the clamp quickly among other tools.

Suitable for

• Wood gluing and panel assembly
• Holding metal parts for light welding or filing
• Temporary positioning during drilling or routing
• Clamping jigs and fixtures in carpentry and cabinetry

Key specifications

• Clamping capacity: 50 cm
• Body material: aluminium
• Weight: approx. 2.2 kg
• Finish: red
• Clamp type: F-clamp with sliding bar and fixed jaw

How to use

Place the fixed jaw of the clamp against one workpiece face and slide the movable jaw along the bar until it contacts the opposite face. Turn the handle to apply pressure until the desired holding force is reached, taking care not to over-tighten and deform the material. For thin or delicate surfaces, use protective pads between the clamp jaws and the workpiece to prevent marking. Release the clamp by loosening the handle and sliding the movable jaw away from the workpiece.

Recommendations

For consistent results, inspect the sliding bar and jaws for debris before use and keep moving parts lightly lubricated. Use multiple clamps spaced evenly for long or wide workpieces to distribute pressure and maintain alignment.
