Fan Alphacool Apex Stealth metaal 12 cm 400-3000 RPM 30-49.9 dB

The Alphacool Apex Stealth Metall 12 cm fan is a high-performance cooling component designed for PC cases, radiators and other computer cooling setups. It offers a wide speed range from 400 to 3000 RPM, delivering up to 116.89 CFM of airflow while using a Hydro Dynamic Bearing to ensure extended service life and reduced operational noise. The fan's metal-reinforced construction provides mechanical stability and consistent airflow for demanding cooling scenarios.

Advantages

The fan combines a high maximum airflow with a broad rotational speed range, allowing precise control over cooling performance and acoustic output. The Hydro Dynamic Bearing reduces friction and wear, contributing to longer lifespan and quieter operation compared with sleeve bearings. Metal elements in the frame improve rigidity and vibration resistance, supporting stable installation and consistent cooling efficiency under load.

Suitable for

• Case ventilation for gaming and workstation PCs
• Radiator cooling in liquid cooling loops
• Replacement or upgrade of existing 120–140 mm fan mounts where higher airflow is required
• Systems where adjustable balance between airflow and noise is needed

Key specifications

• Fan diameter: 120 mm
• Rotational speed range: 400–3000 RPM
• Airflow: 116.89 CFM
• Noise level range: approximately 30–49.9 dB
• Bearing type: Hydro Dynamic Bearing
• Construction: metal-reinforced frame

How to use

Install the fan in a compatible 120 mm mounting location using the supplied screws or standard fan screws. Orient the fan so airflow direction matches the intended intake or exhaust path in the case or radiator assembly. Connect the fan to a compatible motherboard header, fan controller, or power adapter that supports the specified voltage and PWM or DC control method to adjust speeds within the 400–3000 RPM range. Ensure secure cable routing to avoid obstruction of blades and maintain adequate clearance from other components.

Recommendations

For optimal results, configure fan curves in the system BIOS or a fan control utility to balance temperature and noise according to workload. Use the higher RPM range for radiator push/pull configurations or high-load scenarios and lower RPMs for quiet idle operation. Periodically check and clean the fan blades and surrounding dust filters to maintain airflow and bearing longevity.
