FireWire-kabel ShiverPeaks BS77213 3 m 4-pins 6-pins zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS77213 FireWire cable is a 3 metre, 4-pin to 6-pin lead designed for devices that use the FireWire 400 interface (IEEE 1394 / IEEE 1394a). The cable enables high-speed data transfer between compatible cameras, external hard drives, audio interfaces and other peripherals. Constructed with a black outer jacket and fixed connectors, it is intended for desktop and studio setups where a reliable, direct FireWire connection is required.

Advantages

This FireWire cable provides consistent data throughput compliant with FireWire 400 speeds and ensures stable connections between host devices and peripherals. The 3 m length offers increased placement flexibility without signal converters or adapters when connecting 4-pin devices to 6-pin ports. The cable's construction focuses on durability and handling in typical consumer and professional environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting DV and digital video cameras to computers or recorders
• Linking external FireWire hard drives for file transfers and backups
• Connecting audio interfaces and music production equipment with FireWire ports
• Integrating legacy peripherals into existing FireWire-equipped systems

Key specifications

• Interface: FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394 / IEEE 1394a) compatible
• Connector configuration: 4-pin to 6-pin
• Length: 3 metres
• Colour: Black outer jacket
• Intended use: Data transfer between FireWire devices (no power over 4-pin)

How to use

Connect the 6-pin connector to the host device with a 6-pin FireWire port (for example a computer or hub) and the 4-pin connector to the peripheral (for example a camera or portable drive). Ensure both devices are powered on and recognised by the operating system; install any required drivers or software provided by device manufacturers. For safe connection and disconnection, stop data transfers and unmount storage devices before unplugging the cable.

Recommendations

Use this cable for direct device-to-device connections where FireWire 400 is supported. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors, keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference, and verify that the peripheral does not require bus power from the 6-pin end if it only has a 4-pin connector.
