InLine FireWire 400 / 800 1394b adapter 6 naar 9 pin bus / stekker

The InLine FireWire 400 / 800 1394b Adapter converts a 6-pin FireWire plug to a 9-pin plug, enabling connection between devices that use different FireWire connector types. It has a 6-pin female side and a 9-pin male side and comes in black. The adapter is designed for reliable data transfer between compatible FireWire devices.

Advantages

This 6 to 9 pin FireWire adapter provides a simple, compact solution for connecting legacy FireWire 400 equipment to FireWire 800 ports without rewiring or replacing cables. The adapter's durable housing and straightforward plug-and-play design make it convenient for occasional or permanent use while maintaining the original data transfer capabilities of the connected devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting FireWire 400 (6-pin) devices to FireWire 800 (9-pin) ports
• Linking external hard drives, audio interfaces, and cameras with differing FireWire connectors
• Use in studios, home offices, or on-the-go setups requiring FireWire compatibility

How to use

Insert the 6-pin FireWire plug from your device into the adapter's 6-pin female connector and then plug the adapter's 9-pin male end into the target FireWire 800 port. Ensure connectors are aligned before inserting to avoid damage. The adapter requires no drivers and functions as a passive connector to adapt physical pinouts between 6-pin and 9-pin FireWire plugs.

Recommendations

For stable connections, inspect connectors for dirt or damage before use and avoid excessive bending or strain at the connector junction. Use the adapter in environments within normal operating temperature and humidity ranges for your FireWire devices.
