Fischertechnik 544616 speelblokken

Fischertechnik 544616 is a toy building set for children aged 7 and up that introduces basic concepts of renewable energy through hands-on model construction. The kit contains 80 colorful pieces and a play figure, and includes a solar rotor that combines solar panels with a motor to power moving parts. Three models—helicopter, air boat and fan—demonstrate how sunlight can drive rotation and movement.

Advantages

The set promotes practical learning about solar energy and mechanical movement while developing fine motor skills, spatial awareness and problem-solving. The included solar rotor provides a clear, observable link between sunlight and motion without batteries. Compact parts and a simple assembly process make the kit suitable for guided independent play.

Suitable for

• Children aged 7 and older
• Hands-on STEM learning at home or in class
• Simple demonstrations of renewable energy (solar power)
• Developing fine motor and spatial skills

Key specifications

• Brand: Fischertechnik
• Model / MPN: 544616
• EAN: 4048962316223
• Number of pieces: 80
• Recommended age: 7+
• Included components: parts for three models (helicopter, air boat, fan), solar rotor (solar panels + motor), play figure

How to use

Assemble the selected model following the illustrated instructions provided in the kit. Position the assembled device in direct sunlight or under a bright lamp so the solar rotor receives sufficient light; the rotor converts light into motor-driven rotation to move the propeller or fan. Supervision is recommended for younger children while assembling small parts.

Recommendations

Use outdoors or near a bright window for best solar performance. Avoid exposing electronic parts to water. Store small pieces in a resealable container to prevent loss and keep the set accessible for repeated learning activities.
