Glasvezel-lasbox Rutenbeck BasicLine 19 inch Uitbreidbaar, rackmontage 19 inch

Rutenbeck BasicLine 19" Expandable is a rack-mounted fiber optic splice box built for installation in standard 19-inch racks. The unit offers structured splice management and mechanical protection for fiber connections while allowing capacity expansion for additional splices. Designed for telecom rooms, data centers and enterprise network cabinets, it streamlines fiber routing and facilitates orderly maintenance without occupying excessive rack depth.

Advantages

The splice box provides secure protection for fiber splices and polished connectors in a compact, rack-mounted form factor. Its expandable design enables technicians to increase splice capacity as network requirements grow, minimizing the need for full replacements. The unit supports organized cable entry and routing to reduce bending stress on fibers and simplify identification during servicing. Materials and construction are suited for installation inside standard equipment racks, offering mechanical stability and repeatable access for maintenance.

How to use

Mount the splice box in a standard 19-inch rack using the provided mounting points and secure it to the rack rails. Route incoming and outgoing fiber cables into the unit through the designated entry points, maintaining recommended bend radii. Perform fiber splicing on the internal splice trays or holders, secure splice protectors in place and store excess fiber slack neatly within the tray. If additional capacity is required later, install compatible expansion trays or modules following the manufacturer's guidance and re-route fibers as necessary to the new trays.

Recommendations

Ensure installers follow local cabling standards and fiber handling best practices: maintain minimum bend radii, avoid tensile load on fibers, label fibers and splice locations clearly, and use appropriate splice protectors. Perform work in a clean, well-lit environment and verify splices with suitable test equipment after installation.
