Glasvezel-patchkabel Digitus MPO female OM4 10m

The Digitus Fiber Optic Patchcord MPO Female OM4 10m is a violet OM4 multimode fiber cable designed for high-density, high-speed network environments. With MPO/MTP connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter, this 10 metre patchcord supports short-reach, high-throughput links typical in data centres and enterprise aggregation layers. The cable combines a slim, flexible design with low attenuation to maintain signal integrity across parallel multi-fibre connections.

Advantages

This OM4 MPO patchcord offers enhanced data transfer rates and ultra-low loss suitable for 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s applications. The compact MPO/MTP connectors conform to IEC 61754-7 and TIA/EIA-604-5 standards, ensuring consistent mating and reliable performance in MPO systems. Its slim and flexible jacket enables easier cable management and higher port density, while a robust construction reduces the risk of physical damage during installation and operation.

Suitable for

• Data centre high-density backbone and parallel optics links
• Enterprise network aggregation and server connections
• Short-reach 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s multi-fibre links
• Patch panels, MPO cassettes and trunk assemblies

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: MPO/MTP to MPO/MTP (female)
• Cable length: 10 m
• Colour: Violet
• Standards compliance: IEC 61754-7, TIA/EIA-604-5 (MPO)
• Optimised for parallel optics and multi-fibre applications

How to use

Connect the MPO/MTP connectors to compatible MPO ports on transceivers, cassettes or patch panels, ensuring correct polarity and alignment per the system design. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended by the system manufacturer. For installation in racks or trays, secure the cable to avoid strain on connector interfaces and keep fibre paths clear of tight corners and pinch points.

Recommendations

Before deployment, verify connector endface cleanliness using an appropriate fibre inspection tool and clean if necessary. Use this OM4 patchcord for short-reach, high-bandwidth links in controlled environments such as data centres; avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or physical abrasion. For best results in high-density cabling, pair with MPO-compliant patch panels and transceivers designed for parallel optics.
